Procedure for Attaching a File or Document
Procedure for Attaching a File or Document -
(for Gmail users)
Sometimes it is required to attach a file or document with an email;
here’s how:
Click the icon Attach a file (below the Subject: line) and a pop-up opens.
In the space Look in check whether this (Desktop, My Documents, or whatever location name) is where the required file or document is stored:
If it is not in any of these locations, click the down triangle sign on its right and a list will appear to show the various locations (folder names or individual file names) where the file or document may be located.
If it is a folder click the folder name and then click Open in the box at the right bottom corner to display the various files or documents in this folder; otherwise, or after the folder is opened, click the desired file or document and it will be highlighted.
Now click the Open in the box at the right bottom corner, and the name of the file or document will appear in the space on its left and begin to be downloaded or attached.
When it is done the file or document will be shown below the Subject: line with a tick sign on its left; this says that the file or document has been attached and ready for transmission.
