Qigong - an experience
The benefits of qigong exercises is steadily being appreciated and it is gaining popularity;
however some of the claims of the qigong masters about curing all kinds of sickness
including cancer, etc. do not seem to break through,
as the act of healing by merely applying the master's qi to the body part do not look convincing.
Believe it or not, I have a personal experience.
At a reunion two days ago, with a group of my former DP colleagues after some 40 years
I was surprised that one Mr. Tan Soo Kong is a practicing qigong master.
He showed me images, before and after, of patients he had healed.
When I told him about my frozen shoulder,
he stood up and lightly placed his thumb and fingers at my left shoulder joint,
which was recovering but still unable to bend backwards.
After a few minutes he told me that it would take about four applications for a complete heal,
but like magic, I was able to bend my arm backwards as much as my good right arm;
and the shoulder was OK although I felt a little sore at the joint.
Jestingly, I chided him where were you when people suffer severe pain because of arthritic knees.
I know of friends who dared to be operated only on one knee at a time and suffering weeks post-operation.
Well, he said qigong can heal this too, beside high blood pressure and diabetes.
His business card shows him as the chief trainer/chief therapist of Wellness Medical Qigong
which is also practised overseas; however he is stationed in KL, Malaysia.
The statement on his business card reads :
Medical Qigong is a way of influencing and directing Qi for medical benefits
without using medicine, needles, herbs or massage, although these can be supplementary.
Whether qigong will benefit everyone, well .....
Have a nice day.
