Blessed

Hi,

If you are lucky, fortunate, blessed, happy .....
and you know it, clap your hands !

A fellow golfer wore an expensive sports shirt, but a week later he said that he had dumped it because it looked cheap. Another man was beaming with joy as he narrated that he had chanced on a vendor at the market selling four singlets for ten dollars; immediately he bought eight of them; they had logos of Adidas, Nike, Guess, and others.

Reflecting on this, I can also recall many occasions where little events gave me reasons to feel happy and blessed too. During my rounds in our housing estates shopping centres to get a feel of the milieu, I have often chanced upon favourable timely opportunities. I often wondered why I chose to go there at that time, or it was that I was intuitively urged to do so.

There was a time I wanted to view a certain movie which I had missed. Then for some curious reasons I had this urge to visit the Salvation Army thrift store, and there was this movie VCD, selling for four dollars for any three VCDs. It was the first time I visited this store.

Another time, certain aspects of the stock market intrigued me. One day, just on an impulse, I went to this corner of the book shop, and there was this book with the apt title staring at me.

On the internet, I was always impressed with all the wonderful and beautiful Powerpoint shows that were emailed around. One day a colleague had a golf game with us; we had not had one for a long time. During conversation, he intimidated that his wife was very savvy with this kind of things on the computer. It so happened that she was kind and patient to give us the necessary pointers and guidance; and after that Powerpoint shows is no longer a mystery, it is just something else to learn.

Have a nice day,
Ronald
